Men’s Soccer Has Disappointing 4-3 Loss on the Road

Steubenville, OH – On Wednesday, September 7 the Geneva College men’s soccer team traveled to Franciscan University where they dropped a disappointing 4-3 overtime decision. The loss moves the Golden Tornadoes to 2-1 overall, being 0-0 in the President’s Athletic Conference.

The Golden Tornadoes scored first with two goals off the boot of junior forward Abel Carlton in the first half. Franciscan leveled the scoreboard at 2-2 at halftime.

Sophomore forward Liam O’Halloran lifted Geneva 3-2 in the second half, his second goal of the season. Franciscan forced the overtime with a 58th minute goal.

Geneva will host Oberlin College on Friday, September 9 at 7 p.m.
