Bluffton, OH - It was a tough day for Geneva volleyball as they finished their weekend tournament in Bluffton, Ohio. Geneva lost its first match three sets to one while losing its second match in three. The losses move Geneva to 1-4 overall while remaining 0-0 in President’s Athletic Conference play.

Heidelberg College defeated the Golden Tornadoes three sets to one with scores of 17-25, 25-18, 16-25, and 22-25 respectively.   

Geneva would go on to face DePauw University later on in the evening for its final match of the tournament. DePauw won in three; 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.

Senior outside hitter Grace Hayes (Westminster, MD/Westminster) would be a highlight of the tournament for the Golden Tornadoes as she was selected for the all-tournament team.

Geneva returns to action on Tuesday, September 13 at 4 p.m. at Bethany for a doubleheader match between Bethany College and Thiel College.
