Grove City Hands Geneva 2-0 Road Loss

Grove City, PA – Friday afternoon (Sep. 30) the Grove City Wolverines handed the Geneva women’s soccer Golden Tornadoes a 2-0 loss. Now 5-3, 0-1 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, Geneva will return home on Wednesday, October 5 to host Westminster at 5 p.m.

The Wolverines outshot Geneva 11-2 in the first half but the Golden Tornadoes defense kept the scoreboard untouched for a 0-0 halftime score.

Grove City’s relentless offense broke Geneva’s backline with two goals in the 53rd and 56th minutes of the game.

Freshmen goalkeeper Danielle Lincoln (Milton, PA/Milton) tallied 10 saves in her opening conference college competition.
