Women’s tennis rolls over Muskingum 9-0

New Concord, OH - Geneva women’s tennis raised its record to 5-2, remaining 1-2 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference after a non-conference 9-0 decision over Muskingum Wednesday evening.

“This was a solid win for us and a great chance to let some new people see more playing time,” said head coach Mandee Craft. “We all stepped up well today.”

In Geneva’s doubles play, first pair Rachael Letterman (Moon) and Katherine Detrick (Beaver) won 8-0. Grace Moyer (Landstown) and Jana Newberry (Warwick) won 8-1 in the second pair. Victoria Hinds (Montrose) and Laura Anderson (State College) continued the winning in the third doubles match winning 8-0.

Anderson also earned the 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the third singles match, improving her overall record to 1-1.

The Golden Tornadoes are home on Saturday, September 24th against Penn State Behrend at 11 a.m.
