Washington, PA – Down 24-22 at the half, Geneva late offensive surge raised Geneva to a 62-50 win at Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday, November 30. The win lifts Geneva’s overall record to 4-2, 1-0 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).

“Today was a good road win. A 1-0 in PAC is nice to say in November,” said head coach Jeff Santarsiero. “We didn’t play our best offense so we have some work to do still but we will take the win.”

“David Oliver and Ethan Moose had great defensive games.”

David Oliver (Sewickley, PA/Quaker Valley) grabbed nine rebounds, eight of which were defensive rebounds. Ethan Moose (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) totaled 11 defensive rebounds in his 12 on the night. Moose also posted double figures on offense recording a double double with his 12 points.

Danny Torok (Grove City, PA/Grove City) led Geneva’s scoring with 15, going 5-7 from the field, 3-4 from beyond the arch and 2-2 at the charity stripe.

Two more Golden Tornadoes hit double digit points; Tyler Crenshaw (Moon Twp, PA/Moon/Mt. Aloysius) with 11 and Jimmy Leichliter (Connellsville, PA/ Connellsville) with 10.

On Saturday, December 3, Geneva will return home to host Bethany at 3 p.m.
