Indoor Track Continues Strong Season Start With Dual Conference Honors

Beaver Falls, PA – Both the Geneva men’s and women’s track and field team had an athlete selected by the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) for their strong performance in the YSU Icebreaker on Friday, December 2. Junior Nicole Bartoletta was chosen as the PAC track player of the week while fellow junior Aaron Tedys was chosen as her male counterpart.

Bartoletta finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a school-record time of 9.09 seconds breaking her previous school record set at the end of last year’s indoor season. After the season’s first weekend of competition, her time currently tops the Division III performance list.

Tedys ran to a third-place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 49.51 seconds and finished sixth in the 200 meters (22.37). After the season’s first weekend of competition, his time in the 400 currently ranks third in the Division III performance list, while his time in the 200 ranks 10th.

The track and field teams will return to YSU on Friday, January 20 for the YSU College Invitational.
