Beaver Falls, PA – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released their All-Great Region team selection on Thursday, December 1 to the public. Two members of the Geneva College men’s soccer team were selected to the three-team list being two of five members chosen from the President’s Athletic Conference (PAC) with the other three members coming from Grove City College and Thomas More College.

“It is a well-deserved honor for both Gib and Abel to be named to NSCAA Great Lakes All-Region,” said head coach Gary Dunda.

Junior Gib McCracken (Beaver Falls, PA/Beaver County Christian School) was chosen to the first team for his outstanding performance as an offensive threat with nine goals and one assist this season for the season coming from his center back position.

“Gib possesses the rare ability to be a lockdown defender, and also a dangerous goal scorer in the attacking third,” commented Dunda. “He rose to every challenge throughout the season and pushed our program to new heights.”

Fellow junior Abel Carleton (Darlington, PA/Beaver County Christian School) was chosen to the third team for his tremendous ability to find the back of the net. He was the squad's leading scorer with 14 goals and three assists on the season, four of those goals were game-winning goals.

“Abel was a consistent threat all season for us up top,” said Dunda. “Every time he received the ball going forward, you felt he had a good chance of finding the back of the net.”

The Geneva College PAC Championship team finished 16-4-1 after being undefeated in the conference. The team combined to score 44 goals after allowing only 18 against; 11 of their victories were shutouts.
