Beaver Falls, PA – Nicole Bartoletta (Monaca, PA/Central Valley) has set Geneva’s indoor 60 meter hurdle record multiple times now. This weekend another record was set at the SPIRE Midwest Track & Field Open, but not in the 60 meter hurdle event.

Finishing the 2016 indoor season posting the school record at 9.32 in the 60 meter hurdle dash, Bartoletta reset the record opening the 2017 season with a time of 9.09 seconds at the YSU Icebreaker. She followed her performance with a final time of 9.06 seconds a few weeks later at the YSU College Invitational. On Saturday, January 28, she tied her record in Geneva, Ohio placing fourth overall with her time of 9.06 in the 60 meter hurdles. Bartoletta didn’t let the record book rest. Also competing in the 200 meter dash, she reset the school record to 26.49 seconds at SPIRE.

Jessica Kelosky (Fombell, PA/Riverside) also had a standout performance with a time of 8.11 in the 60 meter dash and a 26.73 second finish in the 200 meter dash.

“We had some great performances at SPIRE,” said head coach Phil Thompson. ”Nicole continues her strong season finishing fourth overall in the hurdles. Jess Kelosky had two strong races in her first meet of the season. She ran a fast 60 meter and a great open 200 meter.”

Geneva will be back in action on Saturday, February 4 to compete at the Jim Wuske Invitational hosted by Mount Union.
