Fort Pierce, Fl. – Geneva recovered from a 10-1 loss to Eastern Nazarene with a 4-2 game two win in Tuesday’s doubleheader. The Golden Tornadoes split raised their record to 1-4.

Geneva leveled the game 1-1 in the top of the second but would be answered by Eastern Nazarene with five runs in the bottom of the second. Geneva was unable to return the gesture while Eastern Nazarene added to its lead with three more runs in the third and tacked on one more in the fourth. Caleb Metzler (Lititz, PA/Warwick) was forced to take the loss.

Geneva turned things around in the third inning of game two for the split. The Golden Tornadoes three-run inning took the lead that Geneva refused to surrender. Jericho Hilling (Willamsburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) drove in a run. Jacob Poremski (Apollo, PA/Kiski Area) doubled driving in two more. Branden Schlick (Harmony, PA/Seneca Valley) tallied the win in his six and a third innings pitched. He allowed two runs, six hits, struck out 12 and walked only one.
