Women’s Track & Field Start Strong in 2017 Outdoor Season

Kelosky and Loose

Beaver Falls, Pa. – The Geneva College women’s track & field program competed in an unscored meet hosted by California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 25. Head Coach Phil Thompson said, “The women performed really well at the meet. Usually, at the first meet, I don't expect too much but that was proven wrong. They came out and had some great performances.”

Nicole Bartoletta (Monaca, PA/Central Valley) continued to run well finishing fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.18 seconds.

Jess Kelosky (Fombell, PA/Riverside) tabbed a 26.37 finish in the 200 meter dash.

Kailee Loose (Beaver, PA/Beaver) finished fourth in the long jump (5.09 meters).

In the field, Rebekah Rupert (Greenville, PA/Greenville) finished fourth in javelin with a 35.39 meter throw.

On Saturday, April 1 the Golden Tornadoes will continue competition at Bethany College’s Invitational.
