Erie, OH - The Geneva Men’s Tennis program finished their season with a two day championship tournament over Friday and Saturday, April 28-29. Their 16 points were good enough for 6th place overall finish in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).
“This was a historic weekend for our program,” said head coach Mandee Craft. “One of our biggest goals this year was to get to Saturday, and we were able to do that at 3 positions, which is awesome. It’s a definite step toward where we need to be, and it leaves us with goals to meet next year. So proud of the way our guys competed and handled themselves this weekend.”
First year tennis player and senior Tim Martin started the success with a win against Saint Vincent College (6-2, 6-1) to capture the third place overall finish. Martin and Caleb Hoal lost to Thomas More (8-4) to finish fourth overall in doubles play. Alex Greissinger also took home a loss on Saturday (7-6(2), 6-1) to Saint Vincent for a fourth place overall finish.
Men’s Tennis finishes their season 5-12 overall and 3-5 in the President’s Athletic Conference.
