(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College announces that the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society awarded senior Erica Roy a 2018 Regional Award Scholarship. Roy, a business major from Jamestown, PA, is an active member of Delta Mu Delta’s Theta Psi chapter at Geneva.

Roy earned the award based on her leadership qualities, character, scholastic achievement and ethical behavior. Delta Mu Delta considered Roy’s previous awards, honors, offices held and special recognitions, along with recommendations by Geneva faculty and staff, in determining to give her the scholarship. Roy served as president of Students Against Modern Slavery, a club devoted to the fight against human trafficking. She has also received numerous scholarships, specifically Geneva’s Pro Christo Scholarship and the First Year Honors Scholarship. Besides membership in Geneva’s Honors Program, Roy is a member of the Alpha Chi Honors Society, a national collegiate society recognizing achievements in general scholarship.

“Receiving this scholarship is such a blessing and honor, and I none of it would have been possible without the loving guidance of the professors at Geneva,” shares Roy. “The business department taught me to hold in one hand the skills needed to work excellently in the realm of business while giving me the skills in the other hand to be a person of integrity, who honors God in the office, home and community.”
