(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Every year, professors in the Education Department choose a student who has done outstanding work in the field of reading education.

The award is given in memory of Dr. Leotta Hawthorne, former professor of reading. This year the award goes to Britteny Douglas for exceptional work done on her case study and tutoring. Congratulations, Britteny!
