Theme: Unity in Diversity

(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College and the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) will host Convergence 2018 Conference on Saturday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, which will take place in Skye Lounge of the Student Center, features the theme Unity in Diversity.

Convergence 2018 will focus on the phrase “We the People” as stated in the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution. Mark Charles, who delivers the keynote address, is a speaker, writer and consultant of Dutch-American and Navajo Native American descent. He seeks to understand the complexities of American history regarding race, culture and faith in order to help forge a path of healing and reconciliation for the nation.

Charles’ speech will shed light on the historical background of our country’s foundation and the history of the church in a discourse about how “We the People” might come to mean “All the People.”

The cost is $25 for general admission, $10 for students. It is free for all CCO members and Geneva faculty, students and staff. Lunch will be provided in Alexander Dining Hall for $7. Register online at http://www.geneva.edu/cse/convergence/convergence-registration before November 8.
