(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College presents The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at the Bagpiper Theater on October 25-27 and November 1-3 with evening shows beginning at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. Doors open a half hour before the show.

Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for Geneva students, faculty, and staff, children under the age of 12, and seniors. Call the box office for tickets at 724-847-5099.

The play, based on CS Lewis’ classic tale, is dramatized by Joseph Robinette and will feature live, original music by local composer and pianist Jeremiah Gregg. It is directed by Mindy Williams.

“I am looking forward to bringing C.S. Lewis’s classic story to life,” says Williams. “I’m hoping to create an immersive experience in which the audience feels like they are encountering the story on a new level.”

This student production faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of the four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, unforgettable Narnia. The play is a story of love, faith, courage and giving, and with its triumph of good over evil, it is a true celebration of life.

“Working with students is always the most rewarding part of any production process,” says Williams. “My hope is that the cast and crew grow creatively and have a memorable experience. I want to see that they are enriched by the material as well as the collaborative experience.”
