Financial Aid Awards Announced for Fall 2019 Applicants

Picture of Financial Aid Awards Announced for Fall 2019 Applicants

(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) — Geneva College this week began notifying new students entering in fall 2019 about their individual financial aid awards. Once applicants provide their high school transcripts, submit standardized test scores and file the FAFSA, Geneva determines the award type and amount for which they qualify and notifies them by email.

Students who have not applied are encouraged to do so as early as possible at Geneva.edu/applyundergrad. Applying to Geneva right now is free with a $40 waiver in effect until December 15. Applicants are encouraged to provide supplementary material quickly in order to learn about their Geneva financial aid award.

Geneva College Student Financial Services Director, Allyson Grub says, “It can be an exciting time for our applicants to receive their financial aid award notice; they have worked hard to qualify for Geneva scholarships and grants and other aid. This is also when many of them learn how affordable a Christ-centered Geneva education can be.”

Geneva provides a number of scholarships and grants to make higher education affordable for both traditional undergraduate first-time and transfer students. Funding may be offered for academic performance, need, state and/or county of residence, church affiliation, church matching, Christian/Homeschool and other characteristics. When combined with Geneva financial aid, other funding sources, like federal and state grants, student employment, loans and family contributions, help students invest in education to equip them for faithful and fruitful service to God and neighbor.

Geneva College is a Christ-centered academic community that provides a comprehensive education to equip students for faithful and fruitful service to God and neighbor. Offering over 115 traditional undergraduate majors and programs, fully online Adult Degree Programs and high-demand graduate degrees, Geneva’s programs are recognized for their high quality. U.S. News & World Report ranks Geneva as a Top Three Best Value Regional University with one of the top engineering programs in the nation. Adhering to the truth of Scripture, a Geneva education is grounded in God’s Word as well as in a core curriculum designed to prepare students vocationally to think, write and communicate well in today’s world.
