(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The Geneva Visiting Artist & Lecture Series (GVALS) prepares to welcome speaker Dr. Christopher Yuan for two public talks on February 27, 2019.

Yuan will address students on “Redeeming Biblical Singleness” at Chapel in Metheny Fieldhouse at 10:10 a.m. In the evening, he will present “A Christian Response to Homosexuality” beginning at 7 p.m. in Skye Lounge, Student Center. 

Yuan has taught at Moody Bible Institute for over ten years. After graduating from the Institute in 2005, he completed a Master of Arts in Biblical Exegesis in 2007. He then completed his doctoral degree in 2014 at Bethel Seminary. Yuan is the co-author of “Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God, A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope,” which he wrote with his mother. He has also written “Giving a Voice to the Voiceless” and “Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story.”  He currently teaches and travels to colleges, conferences and churches sharing his story and beliefs with others. 

The Geneva Visiting Artist & Lecture Series (GVALS) invites guest speakers and artists to present on Geneva’s Campus. The content varies depending on the guest and does not necessarily reflect the beliefs of the college.
