(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College invites students, alumni and friends on a tour of Israel and Egypt this December 2019 to visit the sites of key events in the Bible. Registration for the trip is open now at www.geneva.edu/israel.

Preceding the trip is an optional on-campus class covering the archaeology and the geography of Israel. Those who register for the trip to Israel and place a deposit are invited to audit the “Archeology and Geography of Israel” course for free. Geneva Bible professors Byron Curtis, PhD, Jonathan Watt, PhD, and Scott Shidemantle, PhD, lead the biannual trip and course.

"Not only will we read about the location of some of the stories of the Bible, but we'll actually visit them - so we'll see and feel these stories," says Shidemantle. "Travelers have told me more than once, 'I'll never read the Bible the same way again.'"

Participants who register for the Israel portion can or extend the trip for three days and visit Egypt, as well. Travellers will see first-hand the places where Jesus walked and taught, and explore important geographical and archeological sites. The college is currently accepting sign-ups for the free optional course. To sign up for the free course, contact course coordinator Scott Shidemantle at sshidema@geneva.edu. For information on the trip and to register, visit www.geneva.edu/israel.
