BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College Athletics Department is excited to announce its fourth Hall of Fame Class, which will be recognized at halftime of Geneva's first home football game on Saturday, September 14, when the Golden Tornadoes take on Carnegie Mellon.  The 2019 Hall of Fame Class will include 16 inductees who have made significant contributions to Geneva College athletics during their time on College Hill.

"We are extremely excited about our Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019," says Director of Athletics Van Zanic.  "The Geneva College Athletic Hall of Fame weekend has become one of the signature events of the year and the class of new inductees will once again be the focal point of this event.  We look forward to honoring some of the finest athletes to ever compete for Geneva College as we once again welcome a large class of deserving individuals into our Athletic Hall of Fame."

The following is a list of the members of the 2019 Geneva College Athletic Hall of Fame Class:

    Dr. David Badger – Meritorious Service (1969-2004)
    Charles O. Bemies – Men's Basketball (1892-95)
    Mandi Cwynar – Women's Soccer and Softball (2001-04)
    Allyson Clarke Hall – Women's Basketball (2004-08)
    Dr. Ken Hartman – Men's Soccer (1968-2004)
    Mike Holaren – Football (1995-98)
    Natalie Vidnovic Janov - Women's Track and Field and Women's Volleyball (2002-05)
    Larry Matrazzo – Football (1962-65)
    Tricia Miller – Women's Basketball (1975-79)
    Willie Murray – Football (1994-96)
    Troy Nesmith – Men's Basketball (1994-96)
    Amy Pearce – Softball (2006-09)
    Marisa Barickman Phelan – Women's Volleyball and Softball (2003-07)
    Dave Salmen – Baseball (1980-84)
    John Schmitt – Football (1995-98)
    Jamie Smith – Football (1984-87)

In 2020, Geneva College plans to announce a Legacy Class that will include many Geneva athletes that competed prior to 1970, who excelled in their sport, but played during a time when stats were not well kept.

In conjunction with the Hall of Fame inductions, there will be a dinner prior to the football game that is open to all members of the public.  Registration details for the dinner will be released soon.
