Registration Deadline Approaching for Geneva College’s Closing the Gap

(BEAVER FALLS, Pa) — Geneva College’s Closing the Gap program registration deadline is Wednesday, October 16. This yearlong positive learning environment strengthens the academic skills, identity and faith of high school students who are preparing for college. Closing the Gap creates an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to grow in the personal qualities that lead to success in higher education and beyond, helping them overcome academic or socioeconomic obstacles and fear of the unknown. Geneva College faculty, campus ministry staff, college students and mentors work with students over seven months to prepare them for their college experience.

The program consists of two off-campus retreats, four transferable credit hours, class materials and books, opportunities to participate in college activities, and five on-campus classes.  The total cost is $300, a discount of more than $3,000. The coursework is made up of classroom discussion, mentorship from faculty and online assignments.

The 2019-2020 Closing the Gap program begins October 19, 2019 and runs through April 19, 2020.
