Geneva College Theater Program Announces Fall Production Season

Picture of Geneva College Theater Program Announces Fall Production Season

(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The Geneva College Theater Program will stage two productions at the Bagpiper Theater for the 2019 fall season: a musical presentation of "Tuck Everlasting," based on Natalie Babbitt’s novel of the same name, and "24 Hour Theater," an evening of entertainment to be written, directed and performed by students in the span of twenty-four hours.

"Tuck Everlasting" is directed by Geneva Theater Program director, Mindy Williams, and will be performed at 7:30 p.m., on November 7-9 and November 14-16, with matinees at 2 p.m., on November 9 and 16. Following will be the "24 Hour Theater" program directed by graduate student, Benjamin Kennedy, and performed at 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, November 23.

Each production provides a window to reveal something true about our own lives. They ask questions and make us second-guess ourselves, reminding us about what it’s like to be young, to have heartache, and how to have a good, hearty laugh. Geneva College students are already hard at work preparing for their audiences who we guarantee will laugh, cry, and be completely transported into the worlds our students are creating. The Geneva College Theater Program is pleased to bring these productions to life in the Bagpiper Theater.

Williams says, “This Fall, Geneva theater has assembled a group of talented and creative students from across Geneva’s campus to share stories of love and laughter. We hope you will join us for these two immersive experiences, as we aim to inspire, entertain and get people thinking about what they value most.”

All performances are open to those outside the Geneva community. Admission is $7 for adults, and $5 for students and children under thirteen. Tickets may be reserved by calling the box office at 724-847-5099.
