(BEAVER FALLS, Pa. & NORTH HALEDON, N.J.) Geneva College announces a new $1,000 grant for all Geneva College Eastern Campus incoming freshmen in the 2020-2021 school year. This grant will be awarded in the first year for all students who enroll in at least 12 credits each semester, which enables a full semester of classes to be completed for as little as $4,336.
Geneva College Eastern Campus, a partnership between Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA and Eastern Christian School in North Haledon, NJ, is set to launch this fall, offering three associate degrees in engineering, business and general studies, as well as a one-year pre-nursing track. This highly innovative program provides quality, Christian higher education at costs that rival community colleges and public universities. It is designed to offer students in New Jersey access to a quality Christian higher education without having to incur great debt.
Geneva College Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Melinda Stephens says, “This grant comes at an important time for students in New Jersey who are looking for quality Christian higher education. A truly affordable option that is also close to home will be important to students at this uncertain time, and the Pioneer Grant makes it even more accessible.”
The satellite campus of Geneva College is conveniently located at Eastern Christian School’s North Haledon campus – making it New Jersey’s first and only Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) institution. The CCCU is a national organization of comprehensive institutions of higher learning with Christian missions to advance faith and intellect for the public good.
Geneva College Eastern Campus New Jersey Site Director Leah Genuario notes, “The Pioneer Grant will help meet the needs of students who have decided it is best to stay near home due to recent circumstances. Plans change and are still changing for a lot of graduates. Some may have to re-think college plans, and we want Geneva College Eastern Campus to be an affordable option for those who want to attend a nearby Christian institution.”
