(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College today introduces its new $9,000 Ferncliffe Grant for transfer students who have cumulative college grade point averages (GPA) of 2.5 to 2.99. The new grant is an annual award of $9,000 toward tuition, renewable for up to eight semesters for students who maintain at least a 2.0 GPA.
Geneva automatically awards the Ferncliffe Grant to incoming transfer students who meet the criteria and are admitted to the college. Eligibility is determined during the admissions application process.
The Ferncliffe Grant is the third level of Geneva financial support for students transferring from other colleges or universities. Transfer students may also be eligible for existing scholarships based on higher GPAs. The Dean’s Scholarship provides $15,000 a year toward tuition for students with college GPAs 3.5 or above, and the Tower Scholarship pays $12,500 toward tuition each year for transfer students with college GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.

The Ferncliffe Grant is named after one of Geneva’s iconic buildings on the college’s 55-acre campus in Beaver Falls, Pa. Ferncliffe was the boyhood home of renowned preacher Clarence Macartney for whom Geneva’s library is named.
