(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Geneva College Pittsburgh Campus at the Center for Urban Biblical Ministries (CUBM) invites the public to an online dialogue on race and racial reconciliation at 6:30 p.m., Wed., Nov. 4, 2020. The free, live Zoom event, “Race, Culture, and the Kingdom of God,” features Dr. Todd Allen, vice president of Diversity Affairs at Messiah University.

Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Campus, the Rev. Helen Jackson, says, “At a time when the fabric of communities are fraying over the topic of race, we believe Christian churches and educational institutions must step forward with the messages of hope and reconciliation found in Jesus Christ. Dr. Allen, a friend of Geneva College and former faculty member, will guide our timely and significant discussion.”
Beaver Falls native, Geneva alumnus and former faculty member, Dr. Allen fulfills a key role on the President’s Cabinet at Messiah University as the leader of the Office of Diversity Affairs. He oversees new initiatives, such as the Inclusive Excellence Ambassador Program. He is the founder of the Common Ground Project, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching the history of the Civil Rights Movement, a frequent lecturer on commemorative practices/public memory related to the Civil Rights Movement and a teacher in Messiah’s communication department.
