(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College will premiere “Welcome the Morning Star” Alumni Benefit Concert featuring Michael Kearney at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020, on YouTube. The pipe organ concert benefits the college’s COVID-19 Project Fund through online, free-will donations at Geneva.edu/concerts/morningstar.

Recorded in the historic First Presbyterian Church of Beaver Falls, the concert features organist, pianist, composer and 2017 Geneva alumnus Michael Kearney, a native of Long Island, NY. The benefit recital will include old and new compositions, highlighting psalms and hymns in a variety of styles, and will conclude with the monumental Allegro from Widor's Sixth Organ Symphony. Additional Geneva alumni are involved in the production and distribution of the concert.

The $1 Million COVID-19 Project Fund helps the college weather the significant financial costs of carrying out its mission under pandemic conditions.
