Picture of Closing the Gap Program Registration Ends Jan. 8

The spring 2021 semester of Closing the Gap, Geneva College's program designed to help prepare high school juniors and seniors for the college experience, begins with an all-day, on-campus retreat on Sat., Jan. 16, 2021. The application deadline is Fri., Jan 8, and those interested can apply with the Closing the Gap application.

Students work with college faculty, campus ministry staff, college students and mentors to develop the skills necessary to thrive in college. Visit the Closing the Gap website for more information, including a schedule and FAQs section.

In 2021, Closing the Gap will adopt a condensed schedule to complete the course material in one semester through a mix of monthly on-campus classes and online content running through Sat., May 1. In addition, the program introduces a new pricing model in 2021, offering three credits and adding additional class time at a cost of $225 ($75 per credit). These credits are transferrable to any college or university and would typically cost around $500 per credit. The program typically offered two credits per semester for two semesters each year (four total) but made the changed because of the abbreviated program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
