(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College Athletics announces a way for fans, who cannot attend NCAA competitions due to COVID-19 protocols, to support student-athletes with the “Geneva Fans in the Stands” project, presented by Flick Financial.

With a gift of $50 to the project, participants will have a “fan cutout” of themselves placed in Metheny Fieldhouse for all spring athletic competitions. The cutouts, similar to those employed by professional sports leagues, provide a virtual crowd at Geneva home contests.

All proceeds from the promotion benefit the Geneva College Athletic Fund, which supports the athletics experience of current and future Golden Tornadoes. Fans can purchase a cutout or make a gift to the project at athletics.geneva.edu/fansinthestands. Fans upload a photo of their choice at a link that is emailed once they complete their order.

So far, alumni and friends have purchased over 50 Fans in the Stands, and the crowd is growing. More people are encouraged to participate in support of Geneva student-athletes. Those who would like to have their Fan in the Stands for the first week of games in the beginning of February need to register by January 31.
