(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has named Geneva College a first-time winner for overall performance of the 2020 Educational Fundraising Award.
The award recognizes Geneva’s Institutional Advancement program, under the leadership of Vice President Marvin Dewey, EdD, as exceptional, exemplifying solid program growth, breadth in the base of support and other indications of a mature, well-maintained program.
In a letter to the college, CASE president and CEO, Sue Cunningham, writes, “Your institution has not only demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism and best practice in its fundraising efforts, it has contributed to the betterment of educational advancement worldwide by serving as a model to which others can aspire.”
Geneva is one of three recipients of the award for Overall Performance in the category of Private Comprehensive Institutions with Endowments under $80 Million. Winners are not selected based solely on total funds raised. Two committees of experienced fundraisers review hundreds of pages of data from the CASE AMAtlas VSE Survey to determine the best-of-the-best programs to be showcased.
