(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College announces its slate of completely online, dual-enrollment Early College courses available to high school juniors and sophomores for summer 2021. The courses include Introduction to Psychology, Life Span Development, Child Development, Biblical Introduction I, Biblical Introduction II, and Introduction to Nutrition. The deadline to apply for summer Early College courses is April 30.

Geneva’s Early College/Dual Enrollment program allows high school students to take Geneva courses with Geneva professors for a fraction of the cost. Credits earned can be transferred easily to undergraduate work at Geneva or to other accredited colleges and universities. Most eight-week, online courses cover topics in the Geneva core curriculum, but some classes are offered in specific majors. Students active in Geneva’s Early College program also benefit from guaranteed admission to the college as a freshman. In addition to summer courses, Geneva offers dual-enrollment classes in the fall and spring semesters.

Current undergraduate student, a former dual-enrollment student, Hannah Huyck ’21 says, “The Early College Program provided a wonderful opportunity to get to know professors and peers before my first semester as a full-fledged college student. Amidst the many changes of freshman year, especially as an out-of-state student, I appreciated the sense of familiarity the Early College Program had granted.”

Parents and high school students can learn more at Geneva.edu/earlycollege or by contacting the Crossroads Office (crossroads@geneva.edu).
