(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College invites students, alumni and friends on The Best of Israel Tour, scheduled for December 27, 2021 through January 6, 2022. Participants can learn more and sign up for the trip at www.geneva.edu/israel.

Led by Geneva College Bible Department professors Dr. Byron Curtis, Dr. Scott Shidemantle and Dr. Jonathan Watt, participants will travel to Israel to see some of the locations where Jesus walked and taught, and to explore important geographic and archaeological sites in the Holy Land. An optional three-day extension to Jordan is also available.

The trip is associated with the fall Archaeology and Geography of Israel course, BIB 341. Students may take the tour with or without enrolling in the class. Alumni and friends who register for the trip and place a deposit may audit the archaeology and geography course at no charge.

Dr. Shidemantle says, “Not only will we read about the location of some of the stories of the Bible, but we'll actually visit them - so we'll see and feel these stories. Travelers have told me more than once, ‘I'll never read the Bible the same way again.’”
