(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College announces that Rite Aid Pharmacy of Beaver Falls will provide a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic to students, faculty and staff from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 30, 2021 in Metheny Fieldhouse’s back gymnasium. Rite Aid staff will give first shots of the Moderna vaccine.

To participate, members of the Geneva campus community must register by midnight, Wednesday, April 28, choosing a time in the Vaccine Scheduler.

Participants must complete a Rite Aid Vaccination Consent Form prior to reporting for the vaccine, and it may be picked up at the Geneva mailroom or downloaded. Additional information is available on Geneva website’s Coronavirus Information Center.

In alignment with recommendations by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Geneva encourages students, faculty and staff members to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before the end of the school year and prior to the start of classes in August 2021.

The Moderna vaccine is a two-shot regimen. Those vaccinated at the clinic will be able to schedule their second dose as early as May 28 and may do so at any Rite Aid or other location offering second doses of the Moderna vaccine either near Geneva or closer to home. Instructions received at the clinic will cover the details on registering for the second shot.

Geneva College has hosted Rite Aid Beaver Falls influenza shot clinics on its campus regularly for the past several years, and the COVID-19 vaccination clinic will operate similarly. The clinic is expected to vaccinate five participants every 15 minutes.
