(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The McCartney Society virtual book club kicks off its summer reading series on Thursday, July 22 at 7 p.m. ET with alumni and friends gathering to discuss “Received in Grace: The Search for a Birth Family” by the late Dr. Norman M. Carson ’47.

The 2021 summer reading series includes book selections that highlight one or more Geneva College core values with online discussions taking place the third Thursday of each month. The McCartney Society virtual book club gathers alumni and friends of Geneva College to discuss great works of literature to cultivate practical wisdom for the Christian life. The McCartney Society seeks to continue the conversations begun in Geneva’s Humanities core curriculum, providing edification and fellowship for graduates and friends of the college as they navigate their callings in the marketplace, the academy and the church.
