(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College announces Sarah Dickinson, PhD will join faculty members in the Department of Biology as a new Assistant Professor of Biology.

Dickinson earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from Roberts Wesleyan College (Rochester, NY) in 2014, and her MS and PhD in Toxicology from the University of Rochester, (Rochester, NY) in 2016 and 2020 respectively.

Dickinson served as a teaching assistant for the Department of Biology at Roberts Weslyan College. At the University of Rochester, Dickinson served as a Graduate Teaching assistant for Organ Systems Toxicology. Recently she has also worked as a part-time scientific editorial assistant for the journal Acta Biomaterialia. She has been published in Toxicological Sciences, Scientific Reports, and Particle and Fibre Toxicology, and has extensive laboratory experience.

Dickinson says, “I was blessed to attend a Christian college for my undergraduate studies, and I was fortunate enough to have professors who continuously challenged me to see God’s hand in all that I was studying. I would not be who I am today if it were not for them, and I’m excited about the opportunity to serve others in the same capacity here at Geneva College.”

As a student, Dickinson was awarded the Society of Toxicology Graduate Student Travel Award in 2018 and the Society of Toxicology Dermal Toxicology Specialty Section Student Travel Award in 2018 and 2019.
