(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College celebrated the opening of the fall semester with the annual Convocation Ceremony for the new class of students on September 3, 2021, at Reeves Field with upperclassmen in attendance and faculty in full academic regalia.

Four faculty members received 2021 excellence awards along with $1,000 and a plaque based on student and faculty nominations:

  • Christopher Jobes, engineering, Excellence in Scholarship
  • Dan Raver, business, Outstanding Service
  • Megan Morton, English, Excellence in Part-Time Teaching
  • Daryl Sas, biology, Excellence in Teaching.

The featured speaker was the 2020 Excellence in Teaching Award winner, Dr. Doug Bradbury, Associate Professor of Biblical Studies. Dr. Melinda Stephens, Provost, Ms. Jamie Swank, Vice President of Student Development, and Dr. Calvin L. Troup, President, led the observance.
