(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The Genevans Choir, under the direction of Dr. David Kenneth Smith, performs in-person concerts for the Geneva College 2021 Homecoming and Family Weekend at the Alumni Awards Dinner on Friday, Oct. 1, at 8 p.m. and in John White Chapel in Old Main on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m.

The public performances are The Genevans’ first in-person singing for Homecoming since 2019. Homecoming 2020 was held virtually. During the Saturday, Oct. 2 performance, alumni members will join current members in a reunion performance. The group welcomes students, alumni and friends to come together and experience the singing of Psalms, hymns and, of course, the Geneva College alma mater. The song selection during Homecoming weekend includes Psalm 96, “O Sing a New Song,” “Amazing Grace,” “Danny Boy,” “Beautiful Savior” and more.

The Genevans, the student choir of Geneva College, exists to engage audiences while glorifying God and ministering with important spiritual truth. Founded in 1938, the choir continues a rich heritage of choral singing dating from the early years of the college over a century and a half ago. Over the course of their long history, The Genevans have acquired a reputation for choral excellence, musical variety and spiritual impact.
