(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College announces Willem de Ruijter ’15 MAHE as new Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing with responsibility for outreach to and recruiting of new students beginning Nov. 1, 2021.

Since 2014, de Ruijter worked as Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. He currently serves as board member for the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) and recently completed his term on the board of Wesley Hamilton, one of Canada’s top charities.

He graduated from Geneva’s M.A. in Higher Education Leadership program in 2015, earned a B.A. in political science and sociology at Redeemer University in 2009, and completed the first year of a B.Comm Degree in 2008 at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede in the Netherlands.

While at Redeemer, de Ruijter was university representative for international students for two years and served as the Director of Residence Life. He was also a board member from 2011 to 2015 of the Hamilton Waterfront Trust and served as director of Youth Ministry at St. John’s Anglican Church in Hamilton, Ontario in 2009 and 2010.

He is looking forward to leading enrollment and marketing efforts at Geneva College. “I am drawn to Geneva's mission to ‘equip students for fruitful and faithful service.’ Geneva provides students an incredible academic community where they can discern what their faith in Jesus has to do with their studies and passions. De Ruijter is a member, Sunday school teacher and elder at First Hamilton Christian Reformed Church in Hamilton, Ontario. He and his family, wife Kathryn and their three children, Gideon (aged six), Levi (four) and Ivy (two), will move to the Beaver Falls area.
