“By God’s providence, a dear friend and fellow Geneva graduate, Kathleen McKissock Thompson, invited me to attend a Reformed Presbyterian camp the summer of my senior year of high school. I met so many wonderful Geneva folks at camp and had the opportunity to visit Geneva’s campus throughout my senior year. The decision to attend Geneva was easy because of the Christian mission, quality of education, and people.” -Donna Lee Siple ‘82

Donna Lee Siple is one of the many accomplished Geneva graduates. Graduating in 1982, Donna double majored in Speech Communications and Public Relations with minors in Business and Broadcasting. She now uses her education and experience as the President of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce.

Donna participated in this year’s Homecoming Parade as our Grand Marshall. She shared a bit about her Geneva experience.

“The Geneva College community is welcoming and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Geneva and enjoyed participating in many extracurricular activities with people who continue to be lifelong friends. The greatest impact from Geneva has been the lessons learned through examples of professors and fellow students displaying servant leadership and the integration of faith and learning. Having professors and college staff truly care about my welfare made for an easier launch into a career.

There have been seasons of my life of work outside and inside the home, but through it all I have seen the blessings and faithfulness of God. In each season, I can see God’s hand and tender loving care as he has guided and provided. I have lived and worked in many placed in the country, as well as in Japan. With each life or career change, I have seen how God uses those experiences to equip me for what comes next in this great adventure! It is great to be back on Geneva’s beautiful campus where my husband, Sam Siple ’85, and I were married. I enjoyed seeing the fall colors, decorations, new signage, and banners with the new branding. I am proud to be a Geneva grad and proud of the leadership President Troup and his team has brought to the college.

In my new role as President of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce, I have been particularly impressed as I have learned about the impact Geneva has on the community. I have met so many fine Geneva graduates who have a tremendous impact on the communities they serve in Beaver County. This is evidenced through business, government, and nonprofit sectors.”

Geneva graduates, like Donna, are making an impact all throughout Beaver Falls, Beaver County, and communities all around the world. We are proud to have a strong network of alumni who are making a difference and being servant leaders all around us. Kingdom Community is not limited to our campus, but extends to serving God and neighbor, wherever we are called. “By God’s providence, a dear friend and fellow Geneva graduate, Kathleen McKissock Thompson, invited me to attend a Reformed Presbyterian camp the summer of my senior year of high school.
