Financial Aid

To begin the process, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://studentaid.gov using Geneva College′s school code (003267). After you complete the FAFSA and are admitted to a program, our Student Financial Services office will prepare an individualized financial aid package and send it to your Geneva email address.  This will be completed within 5-7 business days after all requested documentation has been received.

Types of Aid:

James Naim Memorial Scholarship

  • Based upon a combination of scholarship essay and financial need.
  • Scholarship information will be emailed to eligible candidates as funding is available.
  • To be considered, file the FAFSA, apply for admission, and be accepted to an Online Degree Program by August 1 for the Fall semester and January 1 for the Spring semester.

Employer Tuition Reimbursement

Some employers offer tuition reimbursement to their employees. If your employer offers a tuition reimbursement program, please note that the Student Financial Services Office considers this employee benefit as part of your financial resources when determining your eligibility for aid.

If you apply for federal financial aid and/or scholarships, federal regulations require you to inform the Student Financial Services Office in writing of the amount of your tuition benefit via the Employer Reimbursement Form.  Please also upload a copy of your employer's tuition reimbursement policy.

If the benefits result in an over-award of need-based aid after your financial aid has disbursed, the Student Financial Services Office may be required to reduce your Federal Loans. This could mean that you have to repay a portion of the financial aid you have already received.

If you receive tuition reimbursement from your employer, please note that you will be required to pay the remaining balance (after financial aid) at the beginning of the semester, even if your employer does not provide tuition reimbursement until you have completed the course(s).  You - not your employer - are responsible for timely payment.  Make sure to be in communication with your employer to understand the timing and requirements of your employer's tuition reimbursement program.

In the event you fail to fully satisfy your tuition obligation according to the terms above, each of the following actions will be taken:

  • You will not be able to complete course work in which you may be enrolled at the time
  • Geneva College will not release any transcripts
  • Your obligation may be turned over to a collection agency
