The Center for Student Engagement offers Immersion Trips as off-campus transformative opportunities for all Geneva College students. We believe in the power of experiences to shape the narrative of our relationships with self, God, creation, and neighbor. These opportunities provide a variety of options to engage the world around us in new and exciting ways. The trips offer an affordable way to explore new locations, further your personal growth, and form lasting connections with your teammates.
Immersion Trips are service-learning experiences that focus on listening, learning, and serving in a specific context while engaging various social issues. You'll spend time with key community partners in one primary location to listen to what they are doing and learn how they are engaging in their local communities in ways that serve God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Immersion Trips allow you to explore God's creation in new ways and reflect on His plan of redemption for all created things. Both beginner and advanced adventurers are welcome. All Immersion Trips are led by a staff advisor who prepares the student team during the spring semester for the experience ahead.
Explore Beaver Falls and Greater Pennsylvania in full day community-engagement trips. Talk with local businesses, hear lectures, and do actual community work. Find places you didn't know existed as we adventure together through the county. Trips occur regularly throughout each semester.
