The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration prepares students for leadership and administrative roles within the criminal justice profession.Grounded in a biblical worldview, the program emphasizes Christ-centered leadership, ethical decision making, integrity, justice, and servant leadership.

Through an interdisciplinary curriculum combingin criminal justice, organizational leadership, public administration, and practical experience, students develop the skills to lead effectively, strengthen organizations, and serve their communities with excellence.  

Serve in law enforcement, lead a nonprofit or community organization, work in corrections or probation, or pursue investigative and administrative roles. Earning a criminal justice degree means you’re prepared to join the workforce upon graduation or enter law school to further your study.

Program Mission

The mission of the criminal justice administration program is to create a learning environment in which students receive the knowledge, develop the abilities and competencies, and embrace the ethical standards necessary to become successful leaders in the field of criminal justice. Through coursework and internships, the department strives to produce graduates who are good critical thinkers, skilled communicators, and empathetic professionals committed to serving their communities with integrity. The biblical framework prepares students to serve faithfully in a challenging field.

The learning objectives for the criminal justice administration program are: 

  1. Students will express a thorough knowledge of how the criminal justice system operates in the United States and possess the ability to describe its contemporary practices.
  2. Students will articulate the impact of crime and law on society and the concept of justice from varying points of view and from a Christian worldview.
  3. Students will understand the legal concepts and terminology of substantive areas of criminal justice.
  4. Students will articulate their understanding of calling and vocation and develop a plan for pursuing their calling.
