Teachers leave students with lasting impressions of life and our world. As a student in Geneva's secondary education program, you will learn how to develop your passions to teach individuals through our distinctive "teaching redemptively" perspective. Prepare for certification that honors the call of Christians to careers of meaning and purpose in high schools teaching biology, chemistry, English, math, physics, or social studies.

Review the historical, philosophical, and social developments that influenced the American educational system from a Christian perspective
Understand how psychological principles and theories apply to teaching, the role of human development, learning, instruction models, motivation, classroom management, discipline, and more
Learn how to use reading and writing to enhance students’ comprehension of classroom content
Teachers need to be able to include students with many different skill sets. This class provides tested strategies and techniques to better engage students with physical and/or mental disabilities
