A great way to get to know a community is eating their local fare, and Beaver Falls holds its own when it comes to great places to eat. Don’t believe me? Try these 5 places, and they will change your mind.

Almost all of these places are walkable from Geneva’s campus, which we recommend doing. It’s another great way to get to know Beaver Falls!

Song Thai – 1801 7th Ave.

If you feel like transporting your taste buds to an Asian paradise, visit Song Thai. Tucked behind Subway, this little place is unexpected and underrated. Order the sampler starter and split with a friend (or don’t) and enjoy an array of delicious Thai appetizers including Satay Chicken and Crab Rangoon. Tip: keep the sauces that come with your starter and use them in your entrée.

Café Rosa – 3410 4th Ave.

Need a warm home-cooked meal? This is your spot. Feel-good food and reasonable prices, Café Rosa is family-owned and run, creating a welcoming environment. They serve large portions, barbeque, and brunch on Saturdays, but they are closed on Mondays and Sundays, and only serve dinner. Make plans to go here soon!

BFCT /Java Hut – 110 McMillen Ave.

Ok, we’re all familiar with BFCT (Beaver Falls Coffee & Tea Co.) and love them for their amazing coffee – if you haven’t had a Canaan Conquest, do yourself a favor and stop what you are doing to get one – but have you been to their sister shop in Chippewa? Java Hut serves the same great coffee, plus a lot of healthy yummy foods. Think grab-n-go healthy lunches, different and fun smoothie flavors, and kombucha on tap! We needed this place. Also, they have a drive thru.

Oram’s – 1406 7th Ave.

There is a reason that every resident of Beaver County – and many outside the area – know, love and cherish Oram’s. That is because they have been making amazing donuts for over 77 years, and they know what they’re doing. You should throw your diet out the window for an Oram’s cinnamon roll, but don’t forget to try some of their seasonal flavors, like their pumpkin cake glazed in the fall. Tip: show up before noon if you want a wider selection; they sell out.

Athens Family Restaurant – 1005 7th Ave.

Athens is a classic diner with great food and comfortable booth seating – with a Greek twist! You will find all the traditional diner foods with reasonable prices, but in addition, the menu includes Greek dishes such as homemade grape leaves, Gyros, Gyro omelets, and baklava. Say yes to the Gyro omelet, and be prepared to take part of it home for leftovers! This is a great place to bring your family when they come to visit.

If you’re a foodie, you don’t have to drive all the way to Pittsburgh to get your fix of good food!
