The Engineering Ambassadors identify engineering challenges; create engaging presentations using techniques such as current engineering content and memorable visuals to deliver a strong and impassioned message on the need for engineering and the opportunities it presents. An ambassador is trained in scientific presentations and communicates engineering and science topics to their known audience. Students work in teams of two to three presenting four to six times a year and each presentation is coordinated with a hands-on activity.
Our goal is to connect with families, prospective students, alumni, industry partners and the community to inspire others to see the astounding opportunities in the engineering field and at Geneva College. We hope that our presentation and programs play a role in changing the conversation that students are having about engineering.
We aim to inspire the next generation to challenge the role that engineering plays in society; for students to purse engineering creatively as it impacts the health, safety and happiness of all, and for Engineering Ambassadors to be agents of change through leadership, conversations, presentations, and hands-on activities.
