William Barlow is the Director of the Pinkerton Center for Technology Development, a program which allows Geneva engineers to do hands-on, applicable engineering work with industrial and governmental clients.

William Barlow is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Prior to teaching at Geneva College, William Barlow worked in the field of engineering for more than 20 years.
