We are pleased to announce that Dr.  Keith Martel '97, MAHE '03, Professor of Humanities and Higher Education, will give the lecture entitled “Ideology in the Age of the World Picture" immediately following dinner.

The Dr. Byron I. Bitar Memorial Lecture in Philosophy was endowed by the William C. Kriner Family in memory of Geneva College′s beloved professor of a quarter-century, in order to continue his legacy and vision for philosophy. The Lecture was inaugurated in 2004, a year after Dr. Bitar′s untimely death.

John Paul Schaefer Memorial Observatory (located on the first-base side of the baseball field)

This event will take place in both clear skies and cloudy weather.

Activities include:     

• Tour the observatory
• Via software, see the sky on the night of your birth.
• See the observatory in action. (Weather permitting)
  • Star gaze via small and large telescopes. (Weather permitting)

1994 Geneva Men’s Soccer Team 30 Year Reunion

A special team gathering for dinner and celebrating the 30-year anniversary of the 1994 National Christian College Athletic Association National Championship game.

The 1994 Men's Soccer Team will be recognized at halftime during the Men's Soccer match against Westminster College in Reeves Stadium.

John Paul Schaefer Memorial Observatory Sign Dedication

33rd Street, adjacent to the first base side of the baseball field

Enjoy a dedication ceremony for the newly designed sign for the observatory. Light refreshments will be served.

*The John Paul Schaefer Memorial Observatory is named in honor of the father of Mr. John Schaefer, Emeritus Professor of Physics at Geneva, who retired in 2012 after a 50 year career at Geneva. The observatory is located to the west of the campus baseball field on 33rd Street. It consists of a 10’ domed structure to house the main 16” telescope and a control building for computers and storage of other observing equipment.  The open field next to the dome can be used for viewing events with smaller portable telescopes for classes and the public.

Eight Bells Reunion Concert

Current and previous Eight Bells Chorus members will perform together for an enjoyable evening of old and new music. Alumni groups will also perform musical numbers from their time at Geneva. Directed by Ben Kennedy '18.
