Geneva Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff Set to Showcase Autism Awareness

Beaver Falls, PA – On Saturday, February 4, 2017 the Geneva men’s basketball coaching staff will be showcasing their support of Autism Awareness while hosting the Thomas More Saints at 4 p.m. Head Coach Jeff Santarsiero and staff will be wearing the blue puzzle piece logo from AutismSpeaks.org.

Some facts about Autism that may not be know:

There are more than 70 million people with autism worldwide
More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with AIDS, diabetes and cancer combined
On average, an autism diagnosis costs a family $60K/year
Less than 1% of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding goes to autism research

If you would like to join the Geneva College men’s basketball program in support of autism awareness, a donation bucket will be provided at the door and concession stand.
