Men’s Track & Field Record Third Place Finish at Westminster Invitational

New Wilmington, Pa. – The Golden Tornadoes competed on Saturday, April 8 at the Westminster Invitational. The Geneva men’s track & field program placed third at the meet.

Cameron Unrath (21.99) and Aaron Tedys (22.78) placed second and third in the men’s 200 meter dash. Tedys added a second place performance in the 400 meter dash (50.14) to his day while Unrath also tallied another second place final in the 100 meter dash (10.92).

Dalton Paxson (15.45), Michael Savino (15.79) and Alex Parker (15.83) all placed in the top five slots in the 110 meter hurdles.

In the field, Jesse Garcia placed fifth in the high jump with a 1.77 meter leap.

Isaac Barringer posted a fifth place finish in the discus throw with a final throw of 39.31 meters. In addition, Barringer tabbed another fifth place finish in shot put (13.31 meters).

Geneva is set to host a home track meet on Wednesday, April 12 starting at 3:30 p.m. before taking next weekend off from competition to celebration the Easter holiday.
