(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) -- Geneva College’s Master of Arts in Higher Education program has five graduate assistant positions available for the 2020-2021 academic year. The positions are:

  • Graduate Assistant for Diversity
  • Student Success Coach
  • Graduate Assistant for Experiential & Adventure Learning Opportunities

  • Creative Media Graduate Assistant

Graduate assistants (GAs) in the Master of Arts in Higher Education program gain professional work experience while earning their master’s degree at Geneva in a two-year program. Members of the program must complete six hundred hours of work in the field. The GA program provides nine-month positions requiring 20 hours a week, renewable for a second year. GAs receive a monthly stipend ($8,000 per year) and a one-third reduction in program tuition while employed.

Assistant Director of the Higher Education Program Allison Davis says, “Our GAs directly impact the college experience of Geneva’s undergraduate students and apply theoretical knowledge from their classes directly to the college community environment.”

Program leaders intend to fill the GA positions in early August before the start of undergraduate classes on Aug. 24. The positions will remain open until filled.
