Miscellaneous, e.g., hobbies, sports, personal

  • My PhD thesis work focused on examining potential off-target effects of ultraviolet radiation filters found in sunscreens, with an emphasis on the Aryl hydrocarbon receptor.
  • One of my favorite hobbies is CrossFit. I picked it up during graduate school and loved it so much that I eventually earned my coaching certificate and have coached group classes for over 2.5 years.
  • If I’m not working or working out, I usually enjoy virtually all outdoor activities (except when there’s snow on the ground), baking (especially eating what I bake), and playing board games with my husband, Brian.
